We are getting the following error on ALL our CF7 forms.

There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.

IT has a red border around it. Our hosting company have said setup looks fine from their end. I’ve tried removing the captcha, removing custom settings and nothing has worked.

Please advise how i fix this???

I’ve already used that FAQ > reference link and it really provides very little guidance on how to resolve this. I ended up finding information on another site relating to checking if the wp_mail function is working, which I determined it wasn’t.
I then installed a WP SMTP plugin and set up all mail to go through SMTP rather than use wp_mail. The forms are now working.

Would have been great to have more details about how to troubleshoot this on the above linked page.

I don’t know if this helps but my client had the same problem.
If the subject field was only one word it gave the error.
As soon it was two or more words it worked.

I got it to work. Now the subject field can be any size. I changed my clients php version from 5.6 -> 7.1 in cPanel.
