• Since I can’t seem to properly get Google working, I set up Twitter.

On first site entry, a user sees the number of login options which is currently Facebook and Twitter.
    I’ve set up both.
Testing Twitter seems to authenticate correctly. Problem is, that’s all that happens. No user is created and the authentication screen just disappears.

Facebook now: Click FB icon, authentication popup appears and then disappears. No user created.

BUT when I then click the LogIn button on the Login Widget, the FB user is created and logged in.
The same behaviour happens with Twitter too – need to click the Login button to complete the action.

That’s just plain weird and a poor user experience since no potential user is ever going to try that.

The issue is due to the customisation you have done in the login form. The form id ‘loginform’ is removed from your form. Please add id=”loginform” in your form and have a try.

Oh OK, that was a default bbPress login widget.
This really is a feat in itself to get working ??

I’ll look at trying to style the bbPress on or use another one that might work better.

Thanks for your help so far.

I’ve got to figure out how to actually do the loginform fix, to start with ??
Will rate once I get it going though.

Bah, this is a little too difficult to get working.
No idea what I need to do nor are the popular login sidebar widgets showing the buttons so that’s a waste of time and effort as well.

I’ll leave it for now – great concept though
