They charge you heavily without your consent

  • The plugin works good with optimization and their CDN is impressive. But they charge insanely without your consent. I installed the plugin on one of my sites and in just less than a week they charged me 4 times which should have happened in the next four months.$9 per month turned out to be $ 40 in just 3 days time. I sent so many emails to the plugin author to see if something was wrong but he kept charging for something I wasn’t informed and communicated. “You keep getting emails this much has been charged and EWWW is happy about it”. Very vague communication. Their account dashboard is even confusing. No quick support or live support option that we get on other paid services. Stay away from the paid option until you know what you are doing.

    Sorry for any confusion, but we do try to be clear about our pricing for the API service ($0.003/image). As surprising as it might be, we are a very small business, and cannot offer live chat or weekend support.

    We send every email/notification from our support address, and provide support for all EWWW IO users via https://ewww.io/contact-us/

    This issue was resolved via email, and our support rep went above and beyond our usual API refund policy to ensure a resolution.

    Thank you EWWW for refunding the funds and you are right, your representative really helped a lot. There is an option inside plugin which if wrongly configured, keep charging the card.
    Thanks the funds were later refunded and ever since, the service is working great.
