• Be carefull! This plugin in order to work (even in free version) want you to setpup an account, login, give your personal details and credit card details.

Those should not be needed for basic, free version.

  • Hi?@entik,

Thanks for sharing this feedback. You’re right, all our plans require an account and credit card to start and have specific pageview limits and features available to them.

It’s common for premium software providers to require some level of personal and payment information to facilitate the subscription or purchase process. Kind of like how you might be billed for an email marketing provider like Mailchimp or Constant Contact. This helps ensure that the software is properly licensed, allows for a seamless billing process, and helps maintain security measures for both the provider and the customer.

We understand this can cause some concern, and we want to assure you that you have complete control over when or if we use the card on file. You can manage these settings within your account preferences, which can be found here:?https://optinmonster.com/docs/pageview-and-upgrade-preferences/.
    ?
Additionally, we offer a 14-day unconditional money-back guarantee, so if for any reason you’re not completely satisfied with OptinMonster, you can cancel your account and receive a hassle-free refund.

We hope these options will give you and other users more confidence in using OptinMonster, and we appreciate you taking the time to try our platform. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any further questions or concerns.

    Hi @stuttle,

This is the exact same reply from another thread, in other words, just a copy/paste that doesn’t really answer anything.

No, MailChimp does not have my cc details, but I am still using their free tier. You should only require payment details if the client needs your premium services. If not, a name and email address is all you need.

I am shopping for a new optin provider, and I have just one question; do you accept PayPal? Should I require your premium services.
