Third Party RSS Feed Not Updating

    I have 2 different RSS feeds from 2 third party blogs. (Towards the bottom of the homepage)

    I was able to display the feeds, and style them. The only problem is, they are not updating when the third party websites post a new blog post.

    I tried disabling the caching plugin, emptied the cache etc etc..Still not updating.

    So I tried to add the feed using a different bit of PHP code, and it was still not updating there. This leads me to believe that there is nothing I can do, and the third parties RSS will need to refresh / update.

    Can anyone help with this? IS there a solution to refreshing third party RSS feeds?

  • In this situation, you are totally at the mercy of the 3rd party’s feed. If it’s not updating regularly, then there’s nothing you can do about it – other than contacting them & seeing if they have an issue that they weren’t aware of.
