• Hello!
We are trying your plugin for first time and one of the logs says the following: “The stock quantity of the product XYZ was changed to NULL via third party system.”

1- What does the null means? Is the way you refer to 0?
2- What do you mean with third party system? we are just using the standard WP backend… could you please clarify?
    Thanks

    Hello @djwilko12

Thank you very much for trying our plugin. Below please find the answers to your questions:

    1) If the value is set to 0, the plugin would report 0. It reports NULL because that particular value was set to “nothing”.

    2) Unless the change was done via the default WooCommerce dashboard, then that change is considered to originate from a third party system. Are you using any third party plugin that changes product stock values in WooCommerce? We’ve seen this quite a lot, it’s very common.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello @robert681. Thanks for your reply.

1- Well… this is very strange… because we were seeing NULL value when changing to 0 (not “nothing”). So its difficult to understand why not showing 0 instead of null. Could you please recheck this? Maybe i could grant you admin access through private channel.

2- We are doing everything through dashboard. In fact, yesterday we were testing things just to see why we were seeing null values and third party system message, and everything was done through WP dashboard. Those results look very odd.

    Waiting your reply.
    Thanks!

    Hello, any news?

1.) When you change to “0” in your plugin, that plugin empties the value in the database. In other words, “0” in that plugin is actually an empty value or “NULL”.

2.) If you use plugins that add on to WooCommerce, but are not part of WooCommerce by default, those would be “third-party” even if you access them through WP dashboard.

    Hello @deraxia
    Thanks for the reply
1- What plugin are you referring to? What i meant is to set to 0 using WP standard product editor.
2- We dont use other plugin…

    Hello @djwilko12

We have just tested this and we can confirm that there is a bug. We’ve just opened an issue and it will be fixed in the next update of the activity log for WooCommerce extension.

I am sorry if this has caused an inconvenience and thank you very much for reporting the issue and for your patience. Should there be anything else we can help you with, please do not hesitate to ask.
