• Hello all, I have recently tried installing the X theme by themeco onto my WordPress site however every time I do it automatically becomes my active theme on dashboard and I am then unable to activate any other theme until I manually delete the X theme from my FTP. If any one could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

How are you installing it? What do you see under appearance->themes after installing?

I use the wordpress dashboard to install it via zip file and am then forced to delete from the ftp when the theme automatically activates upon install. Once I install it I see that the X theme is active and I am then unable to activate another theme and must delete it from the FTP to change theme. I have asked the suppliers of the theme for their thoughts but they have not been very helpful. I was thinking it might be an install prefernce or something I have to change on the WordPress side of things.

WordPress does not automatically activate a theme when it’s uploaded via Appearance->Themes.

I’d work through the vendor on this.
