ThirstyAffiliates 3.0 is a major update.

    Link Migration Issues

There is a link migration that happens during plugin activation to migrate all older data to the new data model.

In some cases this stalls part way for unknown reasons.

If you see blank URLs or other data missing deactivate ThirstyAffiliates and immediately reactivate it again.

This will start the migration again and rescue your link data.

If the migration doesn’t start again you can kick it off manually under ThirstyAffiliates->Settings, Help tab then click Migrate.

    Link Styling

A new module called Link Fixer may break styling if you have additional classes on your existing affiliate links. This is a big we will have fixed today.

The workaround is to temporarily disable the Link Fixer module under ThirstyAffiliates->Settings, Modules tab, uncheck Link Fixer and hit save.

Thanks for your patience, our team is working hard to solve all of these teething issues ASAP.

    Regards,
    Josh Kohlbach (founder)

    Saving With Special Characters

As part of our security hardening, an issue was introduced with sanitizing the destination URL too aggressively and it translates some special characters. This causes issues in some cases with redirections to some programs.

A fix is on the way in 3.0.1 today.

    Hello,

The update totally doesn’t work with all my buttons.

I use Shortcode Ultimates for my buttons and it seems to be totally incompatible.

When will this issue be fixed ?

    Thank you

    Florian

This plugin has a conflict with the “shortcoder” plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/shortcoder/

    Hi @floflo67550 & @shallway,

Thanks for the screencast and the extra info, we’ve already narrowed this issue and have a fix ready to deploy. It will be in 3.0.2 which is going through last-minute testing with our QAs as we speak.

    Hang tight!

Temporary work around is to disable the Link Fixer module, ThirstyAffiliates->Settings->Modules, uncheck Link Fixer then hit save. Then, clear any caches or CDN caches.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi @shallway,

Sorry, the conflict with Shortcoder still remains. We’ll investigate.

Hello and thanks for your work !

For now, I’ve came back to the old version or haven’t updated it on all my websites.

I’ill make a test with one of the websites once the new update is here ??

    Cheers,

    Flo

    Hi Flo,

You should be fine to proceed with testing now. We’re up to 3.0.3 and those issues should have been resolved on 3.0.2 for you.

Make sure you clear any plugin caches and CDN caches and test in a fresh Incognito/Private Browser window to ensure you aren’t cached ??

    Thanks!
