I have the same issue…..hopefully someone has an answer

@mastertechmag: It is considered impolite to interrupt another poster’s ongoing thread unless you are posting a solution or suggestion. As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.

@esmi: Wasn’t trying to be impolite. I wanted to follow this issue, as I have the same problem. I don’t know how to do that without adding a post. And, why would I open a new ticket, with the same issue….If I share the issue with another member? I’ll review the forum welcome, and, perhaps an option to follow a post would be helpful. Thanks.

These forums have guidelines. Please read them. As you will see, one of these guidelines – entitled Where to Post – specifically states:

Unless you are using the same version of WordPress on the same physical server hosted by the same hosts with the same plugins, theme & configurations as the original poster, do not post in someone else’s thread. Start your own topic.

    Please abide by this.

This has been fixed with the latest release.

But if this happens again please report it.

I am running WordPress 3.9.1, and just tried using WP Announce Version 2.0.4. It has the same problem as before “This content failed to load”.

For What It’s Worth: my web site’s static home page is using the Multiple Content Blocks plugin. I have no idea whether this would prevent your plugin from working.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to test and leave feedback. I have been tied up with some other project.

Version 3 has now been released – I have reworked the whole popup function and should not conflict with other themes.

Remove the old one or just update.

Let me know if it works ok for you.

Well, I upgraded to version 3.0.0

Now, it gives me “Oops, that page can’t be found” (the standard WordPress search failure).

    So, I’ve disabled it again.

    Not too impressed…

    I suggest the following

Remove the announcement post you have already created . As this is not removed when you update or reinstalled the plugin

This will create a default announce post. Now update the default announce post one with your changes.

Also make sure the status is active and not inactive.

Also try this on a fresh installation. It may be a conflict with your theme, let me know what theme you are using
