• Running WordPress 4.9.8 & latest version of Getty Images plugin. Been using this plugin for months now. All of a sudden, today, I discovered that, in place of the images that I had embedded, I was seeing nothing but a white box containing a message that read “Image not found: This image is no longer available for use. Search for more images on gettyimages.com.” I’ve included a screen capture HERE.

I looked up each of the images, and all were still available at Getty Images. I replaced all of the plugin-created embed links with the standard embed code for each image as copied from the Getty Images website, and was subsequently able to see the images again. However, a short while later, the images again disappeared and were replaced with the aforementioned missing-image message. I then replaced all of the standard embed links with the legacy embed links as copied from the getty images website. That, again, worked for a while, but the images again went missing. I have just now replaced all of the embed links yet again, this time with the standard code. They’re working … but, based on experience, I suspect they’ll disappear again. Any idea what the problem is?

  • This exactly describes the symptoms my Getty Images plugin is experiencing. As of yesterday, and running the same setup – WordPress 4.9.8 (single site) and the latest Getty Images plugin – I am given a white placeholder with the message “Image not found: This image is no longer available for use. Search for more images on gettyimages.com.”

I also had gone through and manually embedded the images, and after a period of time, those images experienced the same symptoms.

I have another WordPress instance that had been updated to 5.0, also experiencing the same. This installation is a multisite network.
