    CoursePress Pro version

    Anybody can steal the course just by accessing the URL of videos :
    https://www.domain.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/private-course.mp4

    I asked the tech support as I am a paying member of WMPU, they just told me it’s not possible to protect the files

    However when we sell files with WooCommerce, people cannot access those files if they did not pay for it

    Hello @doobeedoo,

    Thank you for this valuable feedback for us. Yes, at the moment CoursePress does not have url masking (like WooCommerce), but this is something definitely possible to add to CoursePress! We are preparing new CoursePress version and it will have lots of improvements (it will be really big release, we are very excited about it). I’ve notified our project manager that that feature would be useful to have, especially if videos are hosted on server.

    At the moment I can suggest a workaround with Membership 2 plugin. It provides url masking (so they wont be able to get a url directly to file) and also protects files with Media protection add-on (if they will try to use masked url outside the course, when not member they will have access denied). Media protection add on is present in free version of Membership 2.

    I understand your concerns about the media protection and I want to ensure you that we will do our best to address this issue. And I’m hoping that in future you will check again CoursePress and review it again.
