THIS IS A MUST HAVE TOOL

  • This is a fantastic tool.

    You do need some technical skill to use it. It is not an “automagic” little tool.

    However, take the time to learn it and it will do WONDERS for your site. My GTMetrix scores are through the roof. I am not super technical and I was able to make it work.

    There are tweaks. For example, I did find that loading CSS files asynchronously didn’t work well for me (there would be a brief broken page as the page was loading). So, I’m not even getting the full benefits. I’m sure there is even more for me to learn.

    But if you stick with it, actually read the instructions and work carefully through it, the results are miraculous.

    I have a lot of other optimization on my site, and each time I work it, it just gets better and better and better. And this tool is a big one for me — sloppy CSS is a major cause of speed degradation.

    The plugin has been improved greatly in the past months. v2.5.0 has several new features such as conditional critical CSS and a Critical CSS quality tester to compare the critical CSS with the full CSS.
