I’ve been waiting for a solution something like this for ages. There were some code “hacks” out there that helps you achieve this, but your sites need to be on the same database.

But, this plugin works on completely separate sites. They don’t need to be using same database or even same server. I’m using in my 3 sites, one on Hostgator and other 2 on Digitalocean.

The pro version is a little pricey, but I think it’s worth purchasing it. And their support is impressive.
