• We run https://www.TheTravelingTwosome.com as a WordPress Site. As you can imagine, being the home base website for all of our activities from our TV Show to our book publications, this website has a very high volume of traffic. Unfortunately, it also produced nearly 1,500 spam comments per day. Managing these comments was becoming a full time job. We were looking for “the perfect” comment spam solution and THIS PLUGIN HAS BEEN IT! The user sees no difference in the comment form (no captcha, etc.) and we have (so far) received ZERO spam comments since implementing this plugin! I believe this is because of the logical method Anti-Spam uses in ensuring you are not bombarded with spam comments. A brilliant idea in combating comment spam, this plugin practically guarantees a spam free website!

  • Thank you for this great feedback.
I’m glad that Anti-spam plugin solve your problem with the spam.

You are right, I can recognize the real user and pass his comment to the moderation. All other comments are spam and they are blocked in the name of justice ??

Write me back if you will have some troubles with spam in future and I will try to help.

I agree. I reviewed it once in December and a month later I have still not seen the hordes of spam bots who used to run amok earlier. Also, on the same server, in other wordpress installations, I had installed SI Captcha & Captcha (Maths). I am sorry to say that both of these plugins are totally ineffective. The bots just walk through unhindered. The only one that is able to stop them dead in their tracks in this plugin. Lets hope the good times last.

Captcha and math questions are pretty old techniques and spammers know how to pass thru them. I was tired of spam and captcha and I made completely new algorithm to block spammers. And as you can see Anti-spam plugin makes its job pretty awesome.
If the spammers will find out the trick and rewrite their bots to pass thru Anti-spam plugin, I will change the algorithm and the spammers will have to change their bots again.
