This is just impossibly anoying

My web host opend my site using wordpress just a couple of months back. I can write articles, But I cannot post youtube links,Media player or even add plain pictures. I did as was instructed by pasting in URl,s and feeds ect. Youtube gives advice in that area too when transfering a personal media player. But wordpress won,t accept any of it although it says that it does?
