This Looks Awesome, But…
-
I think it’s beyond my pay grade. In other words, even though it’s designed to be “user friendly,” it’s still clearly a plugin where some programming experience is helpful… and I’m not a programmer. I don’t even understand some of the terms being used, sad to say. ??
I did install the plugin on my site and it looks like it may do what I want it to do, but I really don’t know how to make it function properly. I played around with it, but no luck.
Maybe a power user can help me? I’m even willing to pay for somebody to build the Notification I need.
So here’s what I need…
I desperately need the ability to send a message to a user that posts a comment on a specific post. He or she will probably NOT be registered, though it doesn’t matter either way. The Notification could be an on-site push, I suppose, or a pop up box. The notification would have text, possibly an image and probably a link.
Another option would be for the message to be displayed in the comment section, but only visible to the person posting the comment.
In other words, I want to send a private message to someone who comments on a specific post or page.
1) Is this doable with this plugin?
2) If doable, I would like to be able to simply clone the Notification for use on other posts. Can this be done? I imagine I’d have to swap the post name/ID, and switch out the message specifics, but that is something I’m pretty sure I could handle.
Anyway, I can tell a lot of creativity and hard work went into this plugin. I’m hoping it will do what I need it to do. Either way, thanks to everyone involved. ??
