Change the PayPal Transaction Type to Standard Transaction in Donations -> Settings -> Payment Gateways -> Paypal -> Paypal Standard.

If you get the same error or a different error, check the following:

1. The PayPal email address was entered incorrectly. Please confirm your PayPal email address was entered correctly by comparing what’s in GiveWP to what’s in your PayPal account.

2. You may see this if Encrypted Website Payments set to ON. Setting it to OFF will resolve the issue. This setting can be adjusted from within your PayPal account by navigating to Profile → Selling Preferences → Website Payment Preferences and selecting OFF under Encrypted Website Payments

3. Or finally, this error can occur if your new account isn’t fully set up or if PayPal locked it down. Please reach out to PayPal to confirm your account is in good standing and there are no problems. There have been instances where a sketchy payment or something in that vein causes PayPal to put a lock on the account, so it’s worth it to check on that as well.

Thanks for your answer.
I had to find quickly a solution, so I stopped using the GiveWP plugin.
I’m using back old style “donate with Paypal” buttons.
