I understand that some of your WordPress permalinks may be broken.

Here are a few steps that can help you resolve this:

-Clear your browsing data and check if the permalinks work.

-If you cannot access it (WordPress settings): reset the WordPress .htaccess file with the default Code,then check if this resolves the issue.

I have tried the stated solutions yesterday, but it still does not seem to work.
I have cleared the cache, I’m not able to access WordPress settings so I tried to reset .htaccess file in Cpanel. Still it’s the same.

Hey @sprathi

If neither of those worked, I would suggest you do a plugin conflict test. Since you cannot disable the plugins from your admin, you could disable them from your c-panel by renaming the plugin folder at /wp-content/plugins/. Then test to see if the dashboard menu works!

I have tried to implement the above solution, I tried renaming individual plugins which are installed. I tried renaming plugins folder, even the additional themes available under themes. Still getting the page not found error. Also error 400 – bad request.
Now I’m not able to login to dashboard, tried to reset the password. But I’m not receive reset password link email. Nor am I able to view this mail in my cPanel. I also tried to set the password in phpmyadmin. Still unable to login ;(
The frontend seems to work fine. But my dashboard isn’t working now I’m not even able to login. Please help with this as I need to submit the same to my client.

Thank you for your suggestions, I tried to restore the automatic backup of my website in cPanel so now I’m able to login into admin dashboard. But, I’m still not able to access any functionality in my dashboard.

Thanks for sharing a copy of your system status.

Looking at it we can see that you’re running the site on some outdated software. In order to avoid issues, you have to make sure that your theme and all your plugins are up to date. It is recommended to run updates in a staging environment first and if it there are no errors apply them to the live site.

You can create a staging site by asking to your host if they provide staging facilities or by using a plugin called WP Staging: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/.
