• I have been running the free version for a few months now and it seems to be working well – my wife and I are seriously considering the paid version for another site that needs e-commerce. All of a sudden this morning (no updates to the site today), users are coming to the site and seeing the “Critical Error” message. The site won’t load, I can’t get in from the back end either.

After disabling all the plugins the site loads again. I checked and the server has sufficient resources allocated for the site to function properly. BUT when I started re-activating plugins one by one, I received an error upon trying to reactivate wp-easycart:

“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal-error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘/wp-content’ in /home/rocksolid/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-easycart/inc/classes/core/ec_shipping.php on line 1330”

I’m posting this here to find out what to do – don’t feel that I should pay the plugin author $70 to tell them their software is breaking my site.

So where do I go from here?

Thanks for whatever help you can provide!
