  • I’m using it on one of my development-sites, and it seems to work fine – still no official feedback from the developer though. I suggest you give it a thorough test on a test-site, and report back ??

    thanks

I’m developing a site using WP 4.5.1 and installed Broken Link Checker last night. All seemed fine at first and I was able to see the report of broken links. However after about 15 mins I got a white screen with “error”.

I used FTP to rename the Broken Link Checker plug-in folder but still got the error. I then renamed the entire plugins folder and was then able to to log-in.

Of course all of the plug-ins were reported as having an error so I couldn’t uninstall any of them. I renamed the plugins folder to get them back and also renamed the Broken Link Checker folder back to normal and I could then see all the plugins in the admin area.

All the plugins were not activated so I first deleted the Broken Link Checker plugin before re-activating all of my plugins.

Now all is back to normal. I can only imagine that it was Broken Link Checker that caused the issue, however I don’t know why. I’m going to wait for the developer to update it to be fully compatible with 4.5 before attempting a re-install.

If anyone has any thoughts then please share. Thanks.
