This plugin has become unusable

Hello,

Despite my best efforts to consistently raise my concerns with the authors for the plugin via email, the plugin remains extremely unusable. The last few updates have created server errors, made the sites unusable and in my case the CPU load just spikes up whenever the plugin remains activated. Not to mention the fact that the post pagination, amp ads and home page amp etc are all broken.

It’s a clear cut case wherein the authors of this plugin don’t do sufficient testing before releasing an update. And when they come across these bugs, all they say is to reply via email. And when they do reply and you revert back, they will take their own time. None of those issues I listed above are fixed yet, despite being several days old.

Now I know this is a free service and they are under no obligation to help us but there are over 100,000 websites using this plugin. If anything they have a responsibility towards fixing these site breaking issues.

Not to mention the fact that their paid service isnt that great as well. I took their paid service last year for a month. There is no 1:1 live chat support and several of the fixes had to be done by myself (they did helped in a few things though but they took their own time for it). They say they have limited resources and they need to cater first to their paid customers which is fine but over 100,000 sites use this plugin. In short, there are over 100,000 broken sites out there.

Their support is too slow, their premium service is not up to the mark and given the game breaking issues in this plugin, I may just go ahead and disable this plugin and use wordpress’own AMP plugin. At least they will be swift and responsible in their fixes.

This isn’t a dig at the author. I am sure they have a ton of work. This topic should be taken as a complain from a site owner who wants this plugin to be successful. Right now, every new update is making the plugin messier.

I will request the author of the plugin to responsd as this plugin is important for all of us.
