This plugin has been permanently closed?

  • It says “This plugin has been closed as of February 23, 2022 and is not available for download. This closure is permanent.”

    What is the reason for the permanent closure? Is it still safe to use this plugin? What is the alternative for merchants that are using the CardPointe/CardConnect gateway then?
