    This is the best social media plugin I’ve come across. But there is ONE thing that drastically needs to improve.

    All the images’ file sizes are far too large. It is always the last thing to load on my websites pages (https://www.neliti.com).

    If you run a google pagespeed test or pingdom test, this plugin’s images (even the ‘like’ or ‘share’ or ‘follow’ buttons) are the biggest thing slowing the webpage down. I highly recommend you drastically reduce image file size using a tool like https://www.tinypng.com (repetitively reduce them) for the next update. This would make the plugin much better!

    Hi Neliti,

    We had another look at the file sizes, however we didn’t find a lot to improve. The “like”, “share” or “follow”-buttons come directly from facebook etc., so we cannot do much about those. The icons we provide ourselves are already minimum size.

    That the images load last is intentional: first all your other page elements should load, and then only the icons display (so that users don’t have to wait longer for the main reason they’re on your site, the content).

    Please let me know if there is something we can improve.
