• I installed this plugin just to try it. It didn’t really look like what I wanted for various reasons so I uninstalled it. A few hours later I receive a marketing email from the ublon.com. How did they get my email address? The only plausible explanation is that they sent the list of my site’s users and their email addresses to their servers. From my perspective, this is a privacy breach.

    Hi Victor

In order to activate itself, the plugin needs to retrieve an API key for your website from our Developer Area. In order to do this, the Developer Area needs to receive the email address of the administrator who is activating the plugin. This process has been automated. It is true that you were not informed about this. We will add a proper notification informing you of this in one of the upcoming versions of the plugin. Due to the need of releasing as much functionality as possible, as quickly as possible, we have unfortunately neglected this. Sorry.

    All the best

    Hi Victor

Today we have released a new version of the plugin that requires you to confirm sending your email address to us before you can activate the plugin. Without giving consent by clicking on a checkbox, you will not be able to activate the plugin.

    All the best
