How exactly did you test it?
How many accounts do you have configured?
Do you have something unusually high (like 10000 categories)?

Also do you have WP Cron setup correctly?

Sometimes if WP Cron is not working plugin tries to do WP Cron job by itself.

Why this plugin is doing WP Cron job? Would it better off not doing it?

Can I simply disable WP cron?

Is there any plugin can detect which plugin is triggering wp-cron?

Really? How it would be better? Each network takes from 5 to 30 seconds to make a post. Without cron when you have 30 networks you will need to look at turning hourglass for 10-15 minutes (and this is if your web server allows such a long execution time otherwise it simply won’t work). With WP cron your control return instantly and all postings happen by WP Cron on the background.

Also any kind of scheduling or reposting will be impossible without cron.

When your WP Cron set correctly it works perfectly.

if your WP Cron overwhelmed it hurts not just a plugin, but your whole site performance in general.
