This plugin no longer works

    Since the migration to WP 3.8, this plugin no longer works. Here is how the problem is manifesting…

    1. The lightbox isn’t even appearing; i.e., there used to be a frame which would zoom in to size and dim the page background. Now the thing being displayed just appears in a page with no lightbox, no [X] close icon, no (+) enlarge icon.

    2. In Vimeo, private videos are no longer working. This is because no matter what you do, WP Video lightbox is simply linking to the Vimeo site and attempting to display the video there. Since those videos are set to ONLY display at the domain where the plugin resides, it all breaks.

    This is a great little plugin; I hope that the author fixes these problems and quickly!

    UPDATE: I got it all working again.

    Here’s the problem: When the plugin updated, there is now a comprehensive configuration tab set under “Settings”. Go to the “prettyPhoto” tab and tick the checkbox for [X] Check this option if you want to enable prettyPhoto library

    When a plugin gets updated, the users should not be expected to have to re-configure the plugin; there is no message that tells us after update that things need to be enabled or changed!

    Thankfully, it appears that this is all that needs to be done to have everything working normally again. You should have this option ticked ON by default if that was the operation in the previous version!

    And, it’s really a great plugin, I am happy that I did not have to go looking for a new one!
