I migrated a new website over to my old website and apparently the old database is still in place since now, when I try to recreate my links I get this error:

This Pretty Link Slug is already taken. There’s already another pretty link with this slug:<slug name>

Is there a way to fix this? Or is there a way to completely remove Pretty Links from the database and reinstall it to have a clean install in the database?

I’m using the free version of Pretty Links; WP 5.3.2; PHP 7.2.

    Thanks in advance!

You can ask your webhost to delete the prli_… tables from the database.

Then find the prli_db_version row in the wp_options table and delete that row.

That should get it working again without the errors, but you will lose all the old data.

What about the other way around?

I have the same situation as ‘CarolinaComputer’ but

I would like to bring the old database data to the new database so I can still keep using the existing links I’ve created, could you tell me the steps?

    Thank you in advance…
