This should be in the WP core!

Yes, I get why modifications of themes should go in child themes, and why tracking code (Google Analytics & friends) is often considered part of a site’s “presentation” hence part of the theme, not a plugin. But when a change of theme takes place, what I do NOT want is deal with tracking code (and other IMHO theme-independent code bits) vanishing upon switching themes.
Enter Stefano’s nifty Header and Footer plugin. Boom. Your tracking code is now theme-independent, as I believe it really should be. No more sweaty palms when switching themes. And async script loading is perfectly supported by being able to insert the opener in the header, and the final call in the footer. Google Analytics is happy again. As is Adsense or whichever other ad code. Bliss ensues.
But wait, there’s more!
As with Newsletter, another of Stefano’s killer plugins, there is a bunch of incredible clever stuff in there that you just have to explore by diving into the plugin’s settings. Like bbPress support. Like Facebook Open Graph support. Like the ability to take care of some SEO settings (setting the canonical URI, setting noindex) so that saves you yet another plugin. Don’t forget that support and documentation of his plugins is handled on Stefano’s site and forum.
I’m in love again with WordPress. Thanks to Stefano. And it’s my review, I can gush if I want to!
