Hello, I installed Really Simple SSL and activated it. Once I did this I am no longer able to access my wordpress website. It just says This site can’t provide a secure connection.

    Hello @fedosyk,

It sounds like you clicked “Activate SSL” in the plugin but didn’t have a valid SSL certificate installed yet, and you therefore received an “insecure” warning when visiting the site over HTTPS.

However, as you have installed a valid SSL certificate in the meantime, the site now works correctly over HTTPS/SSL as well. Are you still experiencing any issues?

    Kind regards, Jarno

Yes, I received the ssl and it worked. I thought your plugin itself received everything and extended it.

    Hi @fedosyk,

Yes, you can also generate a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate with the plugin, and install that certificate in your hosting control panel (e.g. cPanel/Plesk) to secure the site with SSL.

In your case this is no longer necessary though, as you have already obtained & installed a valid SSL certificate elsewhere. Both approaches will be perfectly fine; as long as you have an SSL certificate installed.

    Kind regards, Jarno
