This theme doesnt exist??

Go find your CSS and ensure that you didn’t inadvertantly screw up the beginning part of the CSS file where it gives the theme information.

E.g.

ok done, i am sure i didnt change that. all i did this morning was change the background color! now it wont let me do ANYTHING!

On the dropdown menu where it asks theme to edit, the theme name is now Abnormally long and i dont thing it was liket that.

It’s probably not something you yourself did. It is probably because WordPress 2.8’s syntax highlighter is funked up such that it screws up all of your formatting of your CSS and PHP files.

Reformat everything so that it looks like the first block of code pictured here and then make sure to turn off the syntax highlighter when you go to use the theme editor.
