• Hi, I am not able to access my foodblog: https://www.nutriflower.com. I was able to access the dashboard through a link sent from wordpress, so I am able to see it on recovery mode only. On my theme there is an error that says: Error: This theme failed to load properly and was paused within the admin backend.

How do I fix this? Please help me!

    Thank you/Nadia

do you have a recent backup copy of your site’s files and database in case your site needs to be restored?

if you were trying to install a new theme and the error occured – you could remove the theme. access your webhosting account (bluehost?) and find the file manager to get to the wp-content director and file the themes directory inside . delete the specific theme directory with the problem.

if you were trying to update your currently active theme and the error occured – you could temporarily rename the theme. access your webhosting account (bluehost?) and find the file manager to get to the wp-content director and file the themes directory inside . rename the specific theme directory with the problem. renaming an installed theme will deactivate the theme.

if you are not sure how to find your files in your webhosting account, please contact your webhosting account support team for guidance.

The reason for the error should be visible in the error log. You can find it in your hosting area. If necessary, the support of your hosting can help you.

Alternatively, you could also enable debugging in WordPress. How to do this is described here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ – also here the support of your hosting can help you if necessary to edit the file accordingly.

In both cases you should be able to see what the cause is in the logfile.

Got the same problem after an automated update of the divi theme from version 4.22.0 to 4.22.1. What should you do after you have renamed the theme? I did it with the WP File Manager in Recovery Mode but then i need to install the parent divi theme for my active divi child theme. Where do i get it?

Renaming theme if there was a problem is only a temporary measure which often helps to be able to login to WP-Admin area. Fix the theme name back to original as soon as practical.

If you need a new copy of DIVI – please get in touch with DIVI support directly. Use this link: https://www.elegantthemes.com/members-area/login/
