This widget just stopped working 2-3 months ago

It fails to log you in regardless of browser of type or user type. If you try to login it takes you to the WordPress admin login page, which works, but confuses regular users as they get an abbreviated admin page. Register still works. Haven’t tested lost password.
I have contacted the developer three times and received a reply saying “I’ll check into it”, but nothing ever happens. I see on the board that others are having problems too.
To bad because it is well designed and worked well for two years prior.
