Thoughts on Multisite?

  • I’ve been reading a lot about using the multisite feature and was wondering what other peoples opinions are. I have three separate WordPress installs on my host, one at the top level, and two in sub-directories. Would it be worth it to turn this into a multisite? Would I have to reinstall all three blogs? Thanks in advanced for any comments on this.

    I would say so.

    Would I have to reinstall all three blogs?

    The best way, I think, would be to update the one in root (top level) to 3.0 and convert it to MultiSite, and then export the subdirectory blogs and import them into the new multisite ??

    Will you be running on a Windows/IIS server or be Unix based? There seem be issues with running WordPress Multisite on IIS/Windows.
