Thousands of 404 erros on /xmlrpc.php and /wp-login.php?

    Hi,

    In 404 log, I see thousands of 404 errors on the following 2 files:

    /xmlrpc.php
    /wp-login.php

    What are these files? And why they cause 404 errors?
