Thousands of Session files

  • I saw a similar post from 2009 (unresolved) and I’m also having problems with thousands of session files not being deleted and locking up directory (when trying to delete through FTP) and at times causing WP to not even be viewable.

    Any suggestions?

    Host is suggesting WP has been hacked…otherwise there is no suggestions from them.

    WP v 3.04
    all plugins are up to date
