Three blogs? One Site? Multisite? WTH?
-
Ok, It’s early, and I’m confused. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction.
I want to create a business intranet. There are a few people or departments that need their own news list. For example, one department need to put out news stories of general interest to all employees, in short, a company daily news paper with daily new entries. And another department, The Product Department, needs a news list to talk about product updates. There maybe a new item once a week, or twice a week, or three times during the day.
Employees are scattered all over the country, and may view the intranet at various times during the day to get updates and news. In order to provide a couple of viewing options, I would like to provide all entries into any news list into a merged list, like a VIEW ALL entries. Then, I would like to be able to have them separated, like VIEW NEWS, and VIEW PRODUCT UPDATES.
In my small little mind, I would throw all entries into a table and give each entry a category type, like news, or product. And then create the news/blog based on the category choice. Can I do in WordPress some way?
I’ve seen the multiuser stuff and I’m getting confused and what they call a network and what they call a blog. I will only have one domain. I will have different news lists and different “contributors” to these lists.
Can someone straighten me out?
