    Is it possible to crop the thumbnail in the Simply Gallery Grid? I am using the Grid ratio of 1, and would like to choose which part ot the pictures is displayed for pictures that don’t have that aspect ratio. I tried using another plugin – Crop-Thumbnails, but I can’t get it to work together with Simply Gallery.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    For thumbnails, the plugin uses copies of pictures created by the WP Media Library – Medium or Large Sizes (depending on the specific situation). By default in WordPress, these sizes remain in their original proportions. And in your gallery (very large thumbnails) in thumbnails Large Size copies are used. For this reason, editing thumbnails doesn’t help solve your problem.

    Thanks for your reply! Is there a way to show only a part of the thumbnail in the gallery and the whole photo in the lightbox? I have some pics that are aspect ratio 2:3 and I want to use the square gallery, how can I show only the top part of the picture instead of the middle? Thanks!

    1. At the moment, unfortunately, I can not offer you a “Hidden” gallery, but I will try to plan a gallery of this type (block).

    2. Add this style to our theme (Customise -> Additional CSS):

    [class|="wp-block-pgcsimplygalleryblock-grid"] img{
      top:0 !important
    }

    Thanks! That works fine. If I my suggest a conveniant feature – be able to choose for each photo a top, center or bottom justification.
