thumbnail help

  • i am very new to wordpress i am struggling with thumbnails at the moment when i post on my site the image is the no thumbnail image how do i set my own?

  • edit your post – on the ‘edit post’ page, on the right, a bit lower down, there should be a ‘featured image’ box.

    if not, click ‘screen options’ near the top right on that page, and tick ‘featured image’

    not sure what this question means?

    as far as i know, you can set only one ‘featured image’ per post.

    yes i know you can but if another post is on a differemt topic/subject does the same image have to be used or can i have different thumbnails per topic i.e forums, news, features, competitions?

    Every post have those 2 fields; they can be same as you need;

    OR

    ALL different
