This is probably similar to another question asked, but I want to make sure I’m not missing something here.

I am using “landscape” for my thumbnails in a gallery. This gallery is essentially screenshots of web projects I’ve worked on, so obviously what I’d like, is to be able to have the thumbnail position be “top” as that’s the point of interest for my portfolio rather than the vertical center (to see the logo of the page, etc.)

The auto generated thumbnails for the gallery default to a vertical center position. Where can I edit or manipulate what part of the pic the thumbnail grabs from?

You’re experiencing the auto cropping that’s happening with the images. There’s not a good way to disable this at the moment, but it’s on our to-do list for the next update. Sorry for the inconvenience.
