Hi ValeriaK. Regarding your first question, you’ll need to exclude those categories using “The Pool” panel. If you don’t see the “Pool” panel, it’s probably not enabled in the “Screen options” section at the top of your WordPress interface.

To your second point, there are most likely duplicate HTML tags around your post titles which is messing up the CSS and pushing your images outside of the boxes. You’ll need to check what might be causing that. Are you adding any extra HTML when you add featured images?

Thank you, jeffparcker! The 1st question is resolved. I didn’t have “Pool” activated.

And about the second – I’m a beginner and I dont have any ideas how any extra HTML can be added. I add the featured images using wp field for it, uploading the photo. But I can try to use custom fields and add like a link, will it make any difference?
And also I can disable style.css in the setting of my theme. It is enabled now. Does it have any connection?

Sorry for so many questions, just really dont know what to do.

No, please keep your theme’s style.css enabled. Did you add the featured image by clicking on the “Set featured image” button, as described here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Post_Thumbnails? You mentioned using “wp field” and I want to make sure you’re adding it the correct way.

Thanks for trying to resolve my problem!
I add Featured image exactly as described in the link you’ve posted.

I click “Set featured image” -> Upload files (I drag and drop the image from my computer folder) -> and i press the blue button “Set features image.

Would you try to edit one of your featured images and remove the “Link URL” in the Media Library dialog box? See this example.

Try to edit the featured image for a post you know is not displaying in the YARPP thumbnail list properly. Thanks.

I tried, but looks like I dont have the same appearance, I dont have a field of “Link URL” for the Featured image.
This appears if I click “Set featured image”:
    1.
(as you can see there is no field of the url)

This appears if I click “Edit image” under the image I chose:
    2.
    3.
    (still no url)

as thou I have this field for the images which I put in the post.

Recently I tried to change the featured images for all the posts, I`ve put completely new images, but still it didn’t help…

    Thank you for your patience!

Would you tell me what WordPress theme you are using? Also, are you using any special image plugins that might be affecting your featured images? Thanks.

    I`m using U-desing theme
    and these are (image) plugins:
    flickrRSS
    Get The Image
    Revolution Slider

I would try deactivating these plugins and making sure your posts have featured images using the WordPress method, to see if that changes anything. The “Get the Image” plugin helps users get featured images so it’s possible this plugin is interfering with YARPP’s thumbnail display.
