Thumbnail settings under 'media' don't save

  • It’s the oddest thing…

    I want to create my own thumbnail size that’s different from the default 275×135.

    So I visit “settings” > “media” and type in a new size under thumbnail size, (200×200) hit save and… it reverts back to 275×135.

    I can type in and save any size I want with the medium and large settings. Only the thumbnail size gives me this behavior.

    I don’t have any caching plug-ins, I reset my browser, etc.

    Are there limitations on thumbnails I’m not aware of? Thanks!

  • There no limitations on thumbnail dimensions in WordPress by default. Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Dang it. You got it on the first guess! LOL. It’s the theme causing the issue. Plugins are fine.

    The Shopifiq theme isn’t playing nice. The behavior disappears when reverting to Twenty Fourteen. Time to dig through why.
