    Hello,
I have WooCommerce installed on an author’s site, with only 3 books for sale. I’m having issues with the thumbnails sizing in the settings.

When I go to Customize>WooCommerce>Product Images, I have Main Image Width set to 150 and the Thumbnail Width set to 300; that should create larger images in the store page than on the main product pages, correct? BUT, I’m seeing HUGE Main Images on the product pages – much bigger than the product thumbnails on the store page. Once more, I cannot get those main images to change sizes. No matter what number I type in that box, they remain that large size on my product pages. I have also tried the Regenerate Thumbnails tool but that has not changed anything either.

WooCommerce 3.5.4, WordPress 5.0.3, PHP 7.1.26. Tested in Safari and Chrome, MacOS Mojave.

    TIA, JVK

  • Have you tried changing the crop size 1:1 go to customise>woocommerce>product image and select the 1:1 see if that helps.

The image size settings control the size of the images sent from the server to the browser, not the size at which they are displayed.

The user’s browser will resize the images to suit the space on the page as set by the theme author and stylesheets.

So, to change the size of the images on the page, some custom css will be needed.

Regenerating thumbnails won’t help this issue.
