thumbnail sizing

    I have been trying to get the thumbnail size to change using the shortcode thumbnail=yes thumbnail_size=225×169

    I want the thumbnail to display underneath the title and be rectangular in shape, basically slightly narrower than the width of the column.

    It seems like i can only have a square thumbnail and it wont increase in width beyond what looks like 169×169.

    Is there another way I can change the thumbnail size just in this single instance.

    I have also tried using thumbnail_size=medium which does resize the image

    Is there a way to control how big a ‘medium’ image is when using this shortcode, and how do i get the image to centre itself on its own line.

    I have tried all the css examples I can find for centring an image and non of them work
