Thumbnail won't change from 150px wide

I can’t change the thumbnail size, I’m not sure if another developer changed any of the core files, but I can’t seem to get them right here. The functions.php file is set to 240 px wide, and the setting inside the wp settings panel is the same. Any help would be great.
