I have seen that GeneratePress registered 2 new thumbnail sizes:

1536×1536: 1536×1536 Pixel (proportionale Gr??enanpassung an die Innenabmessungen)
2048×2048: 2048×2048 Pixel (proportionale Gr??enanpassung an die Innenabmessungen)

Do I also need the WordPress standard-sizes:
thumbnail: 0×0 Pixel (proportionale Gr??enanpassung an die Innenabmessungen)
medium: 0×0 Pixel (proportionale Gr??enanpassung an die Innenabmessungen)
medium_large: 0×0 Pixel (proportionale Gr??enanpassung an die Innenabmessungen)
large: 0×0 Pixel (proportionale Gr??enanpassung an die Innenabmessungen)

At the moment the standard sizes are set to 0 because my last theme didn’t use that sizes…

    Hi there,

You’d it’s good to have them too for the image srcset if you have different layouts for different viewports.

But if you’re not using them at all, it may be best to completely remove these image sizes as WordPress generates image files for these registered image sizes.

Some users do this to save space on their server.

Here’s a good read about WordPress image srcset: https://wpmayor.com/responsive-images-in-wordpress/

Ok, so the image sizes 1536×1536: 1536×1536 Pixel (proportionale Gr??enanpassung an die Innenabmessungen)
2048×2048: 2048×2048 Pixel (proportionale Gr??enanpassung an die Innenabmessungen) are used by GeneratePress, because they weren’t here before.

    Hi there,

GeneratePress does NOT register any new image sizes … they are generated by WordPress for any uploaded image that is bigger then 2048px.

The theme doesn’t interfere with these type of core functions as GP doesn’t need to dictate what size images it uses.

Thank you very much for the information!
