thumbnails from custom field

    In my posts am not inserting any pic in the editor or in featured image. Instead, am using custom field to provide the image link. Now I have 150+ posts and have installed YARPP to find that obviously its showing default image because it found no thumbnails.

    My question is, how can I make the plugin use custom field to fetch image? Do I have to hack the code files? If yes, then can someone please point me in the right direction?

  • You would have to use some custom code or plugin to make it trick WordPress into thinking that the URL you provided is the target for the featured image. I suggest you instead use the builtin featured image feature which is “the WordPress way”.
