Thumbnails not displaying

  • Hi,
    When I am adding the basic shortcode/function.php code the related posts are displaying properly.
    When I try changing to thumbnail display, either by the shortcode
    [related_posts_by_tax format=”thumbnails” image_size=”medium”]
    or the code
    $shortcode = ‘[related_posts_by_tax posts_per_page=”6″ format=”thumbnails” image_size=”medium”]’;
    I get a blank display with no trace of the shortcode even in the inspector.
