Hi, and thanks for a great and very versatile plugin! I just updated a site on my local testing server to WordPress 3.9 and now the thumbnail galleries no longer show when I attach the galleries to post. I have your latest version of the plugin installed. When I attach the gallery to a post using the toolbar, it creates this code: <img class=”ngg_displayed_gallery mceItem” src=”https://localhost:8888/index.php/nextgen-attach_to_post/preview/id–65″ alt=”” /> However, only a single thumbnail image shows up on the page. When you click on it, nothing happens.
I tried reverting to the twenty twelve theme and deactivating all my plugins, but for now, nothing has worked.
I also did a clean install of WordPress, using the twenty fourteen theme and only the NextGen plugin, but the error persists. Am I missing something? Any help would be immensely appreciated.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I have now updated my local testing server to WordPress 3.9.1 and am using the latest version of the TwentyFourteen theme. NextGEN is also up to date. When I insert a gallery using the “Attach NextGEN Gallery to Post” button and go and test a page, I get a single, unresponsive thumbnail. I have no other plugins installed. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.
Thanks, Sabra

@textweaver – In most cases, this is resolvable but could be very inconvenient. Although I do not have a reason why, MAMP installation seem to require the use of ports 80 and 3306 respectively for localhost and MySQL for NextGEN Gallery to work correctly in a local environment.

I would suggest a new local test site using that option in your MAMP control panel (look under preferences).

PS: You could change your existing site but that would requite a lot of changes in your WordPress installation configuration, its usually much faster and easier to create a new install and move your from from the old into the new. C.
