Thumbnails not showing in gallery

    I do not have ffmpeg or libav on my server. Thus I uploaded images which I want to use as thumbnails for the videos. I create a gallery but only videos without a thumbnail show correctly in the gallery view (as a black rectangle). Videos with thumbnails only show the title but no image. The title of those videos is located on the upper end of the rectangle and not on the bottom as usual. I am using WordPress 3.7.1. Any help is appreciated.

    Can you post a link to your gallery so I can see the problem in action?

    Hello Kyle, thanks for your quick response. I sent you a mail with a screenshot (the page is a private familiy photo/video site with logins and I do not want to share the link publically).

    My provider added as of my request ffmpeg and using the auto-generated thumbnails works fine.
