With the newest version of the plugin (1.3.4), it shows a message to everyone (not only to admins) that the ticker is disabled when it is.

There doesn’t seem to be a way to switch this off other than deactivating the plugin altogether. Leaving “custom text” empty with the ticker activated doesn’t fix it because it will simply show an empty ticker then.

To be honest, I don’t like that at all. Therefore, I rolled back to 1.3.3.

    Hello Sicilybambolina,

Thank you for your feedback! I understand your concern about the Ticker Disabled message appearing for all users.

This message was introduced to prevent confusion when the ticker is disabled from the settings. In previous versions, some users mistakenly thought the plugin wasn’t working when, in reality, it was just disabled. Additionally, some users enabled the Show in Homepage Only option but later forgot about it, leading them to believe the ticker wasn’t appearing on other pages due to an issue. The message was meant to clarify such cases.

However, based on your feedback, I’ve now added an option in v1.3.4 that lets you decide whether to show or hide this message. Please update to the latest version again, and you’ll find the setting in the options panel at the bottom. Now, you have full control over whether this message appears.

Let me know if you need any assistance! ??

    Best regards,
    Iftekhar
